New Course for 2011 Lynx/Titan XC Invitational

Pichette and Crawford have been hard at work planning out a new and improved course to make the most of all the great trails at Cullin and Heber.

All races will start near the team tents and finish area, just as they did last year. A quick 200m after the start, the course snakes back behind the tents, giving spectators another chance to cheer on the runners before they head out onto the course.

New this year....all races expect the Midget and Junior girls will be heading into Heber downs for a lap through the woods. Pray for dry weather in early September or you'll be leaving the woods a little on the muddy side.

Not to worry, you can clean off in the stream crossing. A wide concrete path will be the crossing point....the only problem is that it's under a few inches of running water. Stay tuned as we work out the details.

The rest of the course winds through the valley at Cullin Gardens. We've managed to avoid the paved pathways, with runners simply crossing over them occasionally.  The Midget girls, Midget Boys and Senior Girls have a hard climb just before their sprint for the finish line. The Junior Girls, Junior Boys and Senior boys do the climb then go back out onto the top of the course to finish their distances.

Feel free to check it out. Download the course map and head on over...a great place for a training session. But be prepared, it's still a little wild and wooly and won't be groomed until closer to the big day.
